Home Energy Solutions - A Service to Help Lower your Energy Bills With winter on the horizon, we thought this a timely post and something you should take advantage of. Connecticut Light and Power (CL&P) is offering to Connecticut homeowners and renters an innovative program that is supported by the Connecticut Engery Efficency Fund.
Home Energy Solutions services may include:
- Seal drafts and cracks
- Provide and install energy efficient light bulbs
- Install water saving devices
- Plus, receive valuable rebates for energy efficent appliances, HVAC and insulation.

On average, you'll receive $700 worth of services in one visit.
How Does the Program Work?

Choose one of the following methods to apply:
- Click here to download a list of CL&P-authorized contractors[PDF:30 KB] . Choose a contractor and call them directly to schedule an appointment.
- Click here to apply on-line. CL&P will assign a contractor to you. The contractor will call you to schedule an appointment.
Cost is $75.00 for this service. If this is too much for you to afford, see if you can qualify for CL&P's WRAP program. Click here for more information.
We understand that you should schedule your home for this service ASAP. When funds run out, that is the end of the program; however, if your home is already scheduled when this happens, you can still receive services through the Home Energy Solutions - A Service to Help Lower your Energy Bills.

I used this program and it work very well, my house is a lot tighter now. I've recommended this to dozens of friends. Find the leaks, seal them, add extra insulation save on heating and AC. It's a win win situation.
